Alfred Daniels RBA RWS
Alfred Daniels was born in London's East End in
1924. In the late 1940's he studied at the Royal College of Art, London.
As a young graduate he toured Florence, Venice, Ravenna and Siena where he was
deeply impressed by the Italian Primitives. His award winning murals (1952-54)
at Hammersmith Town Hall depicting life on the Thames are regarded as a modern
classic.
He was elected a member of The Royal Watercolour Society in 1973, The Royal
Society of British Artists in 1983 and elected Keeper of The Royal Society in
1991.

Anthea Craigmyle went to the Chelsea School of Art at
the age of 17, where she was taught by Ceri Richards, Julian Trevelyan and
Prunella Clough among others. At 21, she travelled to India where she met her
future husband and although she went on to have a family, painting has always
been an essential element of her busy, daily life.
The imagery of her painting throughout the 50s and 60s was mostly drawn from
childhood memories; neglected churchyards, gardens, and parks she associated
with her experiences of the war. She also seeks inspiration from the Thames,
boats, animals and gardens, as well as still life. Her work is a powerful
reminder of the essence of life which never really changes.

Jean Mole.
I paint in oils on canvas in very fine detail, using old techniques such as layers and glazing and I like to interpret old buldings, landscapes, birds and flowers in a realistic way. I use quite a restricted palette of rather unusual colours such as olive green and vandyke brown to obtain the correct finish as I see the world arround me. I prefer to paint outside whenever possible. I have entered exhibitions and sold some paintings and I also do commissions when asked.
